PACTS2B-READY - Projeto-piloto de Apoio à Conetividade Territorial Sustentável

In line with the goals of Territorial Sustainability, this proposal aims to contribute with innovative technological approaches (remote sensing, artificial intelligence and modelling) to support decision-making within the scope of public policies, with an emphasis on the recognition of traditional activities that contribute to the structural and functional connectivity of the Municipality of Guimarães. Special attention will be given to the quantification of metrics and evidence of the services provided by traditional management practices and the implementation of public green spaces in urban, peri-urban, and rural contexts, which revert to the maintenance and improvement of biodiversity indices, well-being, adaptation to global change and mitigation of Invasive Alien Species. Through the integrated application of innovative techniques (remote sensing, artificial intelligence, and modelling), a practical protocol for valuing ecosystem services will be developed, serving as a roadmap and systematizing the requirements for recognizing contributions to the sustainable connectivity of these territories. The “PACTS2B-READY” will contribute to promote collaborative solutions to societal challenges through knowledge transfer, training, networking, and engagement of stakeholders in knowledge dissemination.
