CRUSOE Network promotes webinar on sustainable tourism and territorial governance

On 29 September 2026, the "Sustainable Tourism and Territorial Governance: From National Strategy to Local Action (PT–ES)" webinar will take place online. The event is organised by the Ecological Transition and Global Change Working Group of the CRUSOE Network, through its Tourism and Land Use Change Subgroup. 

In a context shaped by increasing pressure on territories, climate change, and transformations in land use, sustainable tourism plays a strategic role in territorial development while also posing new challenges for multilevel governance. The webinar aims to provide a platform for dialogue and the exchange of experiences among researchers, policymakers, and territorial  managers from Portugal and Spain, encouraging reflection on strategies and best practices that contribute to a more sustainable tourism model. 

The event will last up to two hours and is open to CRUSOE Network members wishing to participate either as attendees or by presenting an oral communication. Oral presentations will have a maximum duration of 10 minutes, followed by a brief question-and-answer session. 

Those interested in participating must complete their registration by 3 September 2026, providing their personal and professional details, as well as indicating their preferred participation format. Participants wishing to deliver an oral presentation must also submit the presentation title, authors, corresponding author, and an abstract of up to 200 words.
