CRUSOE Network's Working Group

CITAB is involved in coordinating the CRUSOE Network's Working Group on Ecological Transition and Global Change, shared between the University of León and the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. 

The main objective of this group is to identify the environmental challenges facing south-western European countries, specifically in the Iberian Atlantic arc, and to propose solutions that promote a growth strategy based on the efficient and sustainable use of resources, biodiversity conservation and adaptation that promotes the resilience of ecosystems to extreme weather events. 

The first plenary working session of this group took place at the Valverde de Lucerna Institute, Puebla de Sanabria, on 26 September 2025, with the participation of 62 participants (in person and online) from 17 different institutions.
