FFV-VIIAFOOD Project

CITAB/UTAD presented some biscuits for children, made from apple pomace.

Professor Ana Novo Barros and Ana Abraão, researchers from CITAB, visited the new facilities of SUMOL+COMPAL's Research & Development Department as part of the FFV-VIIAFOOD Project.


📅 On 20 May in Almeirim, the prototypes prepared by the consortium members were presented and tasted.


CITAB/UTAD presented some biscuits for children, made from apple pomace, i.e. what remains from the preparation of juices, such as the peel, skin, stalk and pips, through enzymatic treatment.

In addition to being tasty, the biscuits contain zero added sugar and have around 15% fibre. 🍪🐻
