International collaboration between CITAB and Sichuan Agricultural University

Portuguese smart agriculture experts visited the Tianfu Smart Agriculture Innovation Forum.

On July 23rd, the I Tianfu Smart Agriculture Innovation Forum, co-hosted by the 111 Talent Introduction Base for Crop Science at the College of Agriculture, Sichuan Agricultural University, and the Key Laboratory of Crop Physiology, Ecology, and Tillage of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in Southwest China, was successfully held in Room 201 of the Second Teaching Building on the Chengdu campus.


The forum invited Enli Wang, Chief Scientist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Organization (CSIRO) Agriculture and Food Research Institute in Australia; Professor JoĂŁo Santos, Director of the Center for Agro-Environmental and Bioscience Research and Technology  (CITAB) at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) and Helder Fraga, Senior Researcher at the Department of Agronomy at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD) to deliver engaging academic presentations on the theme of "Model-Driven Climate-Smart Agriculture."


The forum was moderated by Professor Yang Feng, Vice Dean of the College of Agriculture, and attended by over 50 faculty and students from the Crop Science Department, including Associate Professors Wu Yushan and Yang Chenyao from the Department of Smart Agriculture and Associate Professor Yang Hongkun from the Department of Cultivation.
