It is with great pleasure that we share an article published today in the Público newspaper.

Entitled “Investing in agri-food science means ensuring food security”, this position paper highlights the importance of “strengthening science and innovation in agriculture, forestry and the agri-food sector”. These are essential for food security, sovereignty, territorial cohesion and the achievement of climate targets.

This view is echoed by several experts, including Prof. João Santos: “Leaving this science out of the ‘critical decision-making factors’ is a risk that Portugal cannot afford to take.”
