Seminar | Certification and Authenticity of Food Products from Terra Quente

The initiative brought together researchers, technicians and producers, promoting knowledge transfer and the promotion of the region’s agri-food products.

Sílvia Afonso and Ivo Oliveira took part in the Seminar “Certification and Authenticity of Food Products from Terra Quente”, held in Alfândega da Fé.

Held as part of the Year of Food 2026 cycle, the event was organised by the Associated Laboratory for Sustainability and Technology in Mountain Regions (LA-SusTEC) at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança.


As part of an initiative aimed at promoting food products from mountain regions, reinforcing their authenticity, certification and sustainability, CITAB researchers presented “Sustainable Strategies for Cherry Cultivation: Practical Results”, highlighting research findings related to the adoption of innovative and sustainable practices in cherry cultivation, with a focus on production efficiency, fruit quality, as well as post-harvest approaches for cherries.
