Co.nTe – Co-creating Madeira´s Climate-Adapted Future with Novel Technology Schemes

The Co.nTe project aims to address key challenges in Madeira, including real estate pressure, limited urban farming options, and climate change impacts. It is structured around three main pillars: (1) the development of an innovative AI-based financing system (“Societal Token”) to support sustainable land use and disaster mitigation; (2) the use of AI-driven land use scenarios to foster public-private collaboration and strengthen local food systems; and (3) the establishment of a Resilience Living Lab, which will integrate project outputs, support governance, and promote educational activities. The project aligns with EU priorities on digital transformation in cities and involves collaboration among local authorities, research institutions, and businesses.
